La nouvelle Ducati Multistrada 1200 S est une réédition tout à fait réussie de la moto d'aventure à vocation extra-sportive. Les faiblesses de son prédécesseur ont manifestement été analysées avec précision et corrigées : grâce au système DVT, le moteur fonctionne désormais de manière harmonieuse même à bas régime et la position d'assise est désormais plus adaptée aux pilotes qui recherchent le confort. L'électronique a été massivement mise à jour, aucune autre moto d'aventure n'est équipée de manière aussi complète. En commençant par les multiples modes réglables qui concernent le développement de la puissance et le châssis, le frein et l'ABS en virage fonctionnent également au plus haut niveau. La Multisrtrada 1200 "normale" renonce certes à certains gadgets électroniques, mais elle est aussi plus avantageuse et ne se comporte pas vraiment plus mal.

La Ducati Multistrada V2 S est une moto de voyage extrêmement agile et en même temps confortable, qui procure un plaisir incroyable dans les épingles, mais qui brille aussi par son confort sur les longues distances. Grâce à une hauteur de selle abaissée, à un arc d'entrejambe nettement plus court et à un silence de fonctionnement du moteur amélioré (du moins pour une Ducati), même les personnes de petite taille et moins expérimentées peuvent goûter à ce merveilleux plaisir de conduite en toute sérénité.
