The most significant innovation in the 2025 four-cylinder Versys concerns the engine: An advanced four-stroke inline-four with a displacement of 1,099 cc (instead of the previous 1,043 cc) provides a notable power increase. With 135 hp compared to the predecessor's 120 hp and a torque of 112 Nm (previously 102 Nm) in the mid to high rpm range, the Versys 1100 offers significantly more power. Particularly noteworthy are the optimizations in the shifting behavior: The improved Kawasaki Quick-Shifter (KQS) now allows clutchless shifting from as low as 1,500 rpm, which further enhances comfort on long tours.

Comfort and Control: Enhanced Ergonomics and Technology
The new Versys 1100 offers numerous features specifically aimed at the touring segment. These include, among others:
- Cruise control for long highway rides
- Optimized intake funnels and channels that improve engine performance in the low to mid RPM range
- A heavier flywheel and a balance shaft that reduce vibrations and increase riding comfort
- Enlarged rear brake disc from ø250 mm to ø260 mm for improved braking performance
- The installation of a heat exchanger that makes engine cooling more efficient
Especially ambitious riders benefit from the SE variant, which is equipped with the Showa KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Controlled Suspension). This electronically controlled suspension ensures optimal damping and an even smoother riding performance, regardless of the load or road conditions.
Rider Assistance Systems of the New Versys 1100 2025
The 2025 Versys 1100 also offers a wealth of modern electronic riding aids that maximize safety and riding pleasure. These include:
- KTRC traction control
- Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), which supports stability in corners
- Various power and riding modes that can be adjusted according to riding style and conditions
Riders of the SE version can also use Kawasaki's Rideology app, which allows for user-friendly control of many functions via smartphone.
Resilient surface emphasizes durability
A special innovation is the self-healing paint that can automatically regenerate fine scratches. This technology ensures a consistently well-maintained appearance and gives the Versys 1100 a high-quality finish. Small scratches are repaired within days thanks to a special coating that combines both hard and soft segments – larger damages, however, such as those caused by coins or keys, remain.
