Alors que les nombreux genres de motos se confondent et se superposent de plus en plus, la Ducati Scrambler Icon est vraiment le scrambler simple et robuste que son nom promet. Le large guidon permet un maniement incroyablement simple, on pardonne donc rapidement le fait que la fourche ne soit pas réglable sur le châssis orienté confort, l'amortisseur l'étant au moins en détente et en précontrainte de ressort. On lui pardonne également le fait que le simple disque avant nécessite une force manuelle assez importante, mais un ABS en virage est tout de même monté de série, ce qui est très louable. Mais le reste des caractéristiques / options correspond à nouveau au style minimaliste, qui est peut-être même un peu exagéré en ce qui concerne les tableaux de bord LCD (obsolètes). Mais dans l'ensemble, la Scrambler Icon convainc surtout par son look réussi qui, même à l'arrêt, transmet ce dont il s'agit : un style de vie plutôt qu'un style de conduite !
