La nouvelle Africa Twin est arrivée exactement comme les fans l'attendaient : Bien contrôlable, peu nerveuse et une excellente compagne de voyage. Le fait qu'elle soit également extrêmement réussie sur le plan esthétique était un bonus agréable. Il n'y a donc pas de raison de changer radicalement l'Africa Twin, ce qui était bon reste bon pour la nouvelle - et beaucoup de choses ont été améliorées.
