La Streetfighter V2 s'oriente toutefois vers le haut en matière de prix, à l'instar de ses qualités de conduite, vers les motos hyper-naked.

Son prédécesseur, la 790 Duke, avait déjà prouvé que KTM savait comment construire une naked bike de classe moyenne pour la route. La nouvelle 890 porte le flambeau avec une poitrine gonflée et mérite à nouveau son surnom de scalpel.
