La nouvelle Hornet 750 est une naked bike vraiment réussie, qui se place au-dessus de la plupart de ses concurrentes dans la catégorie des motos d'entrée de gamme supérieures grâce à son moteur merveilleusement agile et puissant, à sa maniabilité et à son châssis équilibrés, à sa position de conduite agréable et, surtout, à son équipement électronique très complet. En fait, elle est déjà très proche de la classe moyenne, seuls le bras oscillant ennuyeux et le pneu arrière étroit de 160 cm3 (qui aide toutefois énormément à la maniabilité) ne correspondent pas tout à fait à ce segment. Cependant, elle est à peine plus chère que les modèles d'entrée de gamme, mais plutôt quelques, voire plusieurs milliers de dollars moins chère que la classe moyenne. Cela en fait une offre imbattable !

On peut toujours discuter de l'esthétique et de l'absence de cadre tubulaire en treillis, mais la Monster actuelle est tout sauf laide. En principe, elle serait une excellente moto de tous les jours, avec une ergonomie agréable et un système de freinage qui ne surprendrait pas les non-initiés.
