En comparaison directe avec sa petite sœur Tiger 800 XC, la Tiger Sport 1050 ne marque des points que dans un seul chapitre : Les freins sont extrêmement équilibrés et s'enclenchent correctement quand on en a besoin. Mais dans la plupart des autres disciplines, elle ne parvient pas à s'imposer. C'est surtout au niveau de la maniabilité que la grande 1050 se comporte de manière beaucoup plus têtue que sa petite sœur. Comme elle n'est pas vraiment utilisable en tout-terrain, son rayon d'action se réduit fortement par rapport à la Tiger 800 XC. Mais s'il s'agit d'un partenaire universel pour la route qui, en plus d'une position de conduite agréable, doit aussi offrir un certain degré de sport, la Tiger Sport 1050 n'est certainement pas le mauvais choix.
