BMW M 1000 R 2025: Technology Remains Consistent, Electronics Receive an Update

The BMW M 1000 R retains its previous engine output of 210 hp at a dry weight of 199 kg in the new model year. This combination keeps the roadster as one of the top bikes in this segment, both on the road and on the race track. Despite the new Euro 5+ standard, performance remains at the usual high level. For the 2025 model year, the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) has been revised. The control strategy, derived from the RR models, is intended to provide a noticeable improvement in riding dynamics, especially in Race mode, in conjunction with the M short-stroke throttle.

Fresh design gives the M 1000 R a brutal look

The design of the new model has been further refined. The rear frame and swingarm are finished in Platinum Grey, while the winglets feature a black textured paint. The covers for the clutch and generator are also in black. However, the true star is the dual-flow LED headlight derived from the RR models, which is also used on the new S 1000 R. Gone are the days of the somewhat dull face; the BMW roadsters are now truly aggressive again!
