The Suzuki GSX-S950 2021 and the Suzuki GSX-S1000 2021 are both naked bikes from Suzuki, but they have some notable differences in terms of performance and features.
Starting with the engine, the GSX-S950 is equipped with an in-line four-cylinder engine that produces 95 horsepower and 92 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the GSX-S1000 boasts a more powerful engine, also an in-line four-cylinder, but with 152 horsepower and 106 Nm of torque. This gives the GSX-S1000 a significant advantage in terms of acceleration and top speed.
Both bikes feature fuel injection systems and liquid cooling to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. They also have the same displacement of 999cc, providing a similar level of power delivery.
In terms of suspension, both bikes have upside-down telescopic forks at the front and swing arm suspension at the rear. The shock absorber on both models is a monoshock design. This setup provides a good balance between comfort and sporty handling.

When it comes to braking, both models are equipped with double disk brakes at the front with a diameter of 310mm and four-piston calipers. The GSX-S1000, however, has the advantage of radial and monoblock technology, which enhances braking performance and provides a more precise feel.

Now, let's discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each model. The GSX-S950 has a punchy engine with good sound, stable brakes, and a comfortable seating position. However, its chassis is considered too soft and not adjustable, and the cockpit can be difficult to read in sunlight.
On the other hand, the GSX-S1000 has a more powerful engine, a smooth quickshifter, sporty handling, and a comfortable seating position. It also has an aggressive look that appeals to riders looking for a more aggressive aesthetic. However, some users have reported that the display on the GSX-S1000 can be difficult to read.
In conclusion, the Suzuki GSX-S950 2021 and the Suzuki GSX-S1000 2021 are both capable naked bikes with their own strengths and weaknesses. Pros and Cons in comparison
Pros and Cons in comparison
Suzuki GSX-S950 2021
The "small" GSX-S950 is damn close to the GSX-S1000, which is why it seems as if the proud surcharge for the 1000 will have to be properly justified. However, anyone who wants it to be as sporty as on the GSX-S1000 will already fail due to the somewhat too soft, non-adjustable suspension. However, this more comfortable design of the 950 fits the character of the engine very well. With (only) 95 hp, the engine, which is identical to the GSX-S1000, is designed for torque from below and in the middle; there is little point in stubbornly wriggling out. So if you are looking for a comparatively comfortable naked bike that is suitable for A2 and that can hardly be distinguished visually from the top model, you can save a lot of money!
Suzuki GSX-S1000 2021
Suzuki's evolution of the GSX-S1000 is a complete success. Although it is an old acquaintance in terms of its basic design, with the 2021 update to Euro5, as well as numerous revisions, the Japanese have created a wonderfully rounded package in the power naked segment. The engine, throttle response and quickshifter work flawlessly, and the suspension and brake components are tuned for sporty comfort. A bike with which you don't have to hide - unless someone wants to examine the display...
