30 years of Speed Triple. In 1994, Triumph launched the self-proclaimed "Original Power Naked Bike," kicking off a successful career. If we're being strict, the official anniversary was actually last year, but with the transition to Euro5+, the British manufacturer is using the year 2025 to introduce a new generation of the Power Naked.

More Power in the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2025
The new Speed Triple 1200 RS features a liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder DOHC engine with a displacement of 1,160 cc. This engine delivers 183 hp at 10,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 128 Nm at 8,750 rpm, representing an increase of 3 hp and 3 Nm compared to the previous generation. A revised exhaust system with an aerodynamically optimized 3-into-1 stainless steel setup improves exhaust flow and optimizes the center of gravity. The characteristic triple sound is retained. For those seeking something even more refined, an Akrapovič titanium slip-on silencer is available as an accessory.
Speed Triple 1200 RS with Öhlins SmartEC3 suspension
The semi-active Öhlins SmartEC3 suspension with the Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi) is one of the key innovations. This system allows continuous monitoring and adjustment of damping characteristics. The seven parameters that can be individually adjusted are:
- Fork setup
- Shock absorber setup
- Setup during braking
- Setup during acceleration
- Setup for initial acceleration
- Setup during cornering
- Setup while cruising
The 43mm upside-down fork (120 mm travel) and the shock absorber (120 mm travel) are equipped with electronic compression and rebound damping. Additionally, the Speed Triple 1200 RS is fitted with an adjustable steering damper. This is designed to ensure smooth and controlled handling in every riding situation.

Electronic Assistance Systems
The new Speed Triple 1200 RS is equipped with a variety of electronic riding aids:
- Riding Modes: The five modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, Rider) allow precise adjustment of throttle response, cornering ABS, and traction control.
- Front Wheel Lift Control: The wheelie control is based on a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) and is adjustable in four stages.
- Engine Braking Control: Allows the adjustment of engine braking to suit the riding style.
- Slide Control: In Track mode, this system optimizes ABS calibration to allow more slip at the front wheel.
The 5-inch TFT display offers operation via a 5-way joystick and allows the display of all essential information as well as the use of connectivity features such as navigation, music control, and phone integration. A freely programmable cruise control and an emergency brake warning function complete the electronics package, while the keyless system is intended to make everyday life easier.
The Speed Triple RS 2025 emphasizes its sportiness.
With the new Speed Triple 1200 RS, Triumph places a clear focus on the race track. Especially since the previously available Speed Triple RR with half fairing is being discontinued. The sportiness is also evident in the brakes and tires. The Speed Triple 1200 RS is equipped with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 in the dimensions 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/55 ZR17 at the rear.
The braking system includes two 320 mm brake discs at the front with Brembo Stylema monoblock radial calipers and a radial master cylinder. At the rear, a 220 mm brake disc with a Brembo twin-piston caliper is used.

Ergonomics & Weight of the New Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2025
The design of the Speed Triple 1200 RS has been refined for 2025. According to Triumph, a wider and higher positioned handlebar ensures a sporty yet comfortable seating position. The aluminum bridge frame has been further developed, while new and lighter wheels are used to reduce gyroscopic forces and enable quicker steering. The weight remains low at 199 kg wet weight, also thanks to the new lithium-ion battery.
Price and Availability
