KTM 890 Adventure 2022 vs. KTM 1090 Adventure 2018

The KTM 890 Adventure model year 2022 and the KTM 1090 Adventure model year 2018 are both enduro motorcycles with similar features and capabilities. However, there are several key differences between the two models.

In terms of engine specifications, the KTM 890 Adventure 2022 has an in-line engine with a bore of 90.7 mm and a stroke of 68.8 mm. It produces 105 HP of power and 100 Nm of torque. In terms of strengths, the KTM 890 Adventure has a proven and confident engine, comparatively low weight, an improved chassis, a more comfortable seat, and a combination of riding modes and ABS settings. It also features a quickshifter that works excellently and is made in Austria.

On the other hand, the KTM 1090 Adventure has a very powerful and cultivated engine with a wide rev range. It offers performance modes, the ability to switch off the ABS, and adjustable traction control. It also has agile and safe handling, adjustable ergonomics, a height-adjustable windshield, low weight, and a comparatively low price.

In terms of weaknesses, the KTM 890 Adventure has a non-adjustable windshield, which may not suit all riders' preferences. It also has too little suspension travel for hard terrain and many useful extras that come at an additional cost. The KTM 1090 Adventure, on the other hand, has optics that may seem outdated compared to the newer 1290 Super Adventures. Additionally, its suspension fork is not adjustable.

Overall, both the KTM 890 Adventure 2022 and the KTM 1090 Adventure 2018 are capable enduro motorcycles with their own strengths and weaknesses. The choice between the two will depend on the rider's preferences and priorities, such as power, adjustability, and price.
