KTM 1190 Adventure 2014 vs. KTM 1090 Adventure 2018

The KTM 1190 Adventure 2014 and the KTM 1090 Adventure 2018 are both enduro motorcycles with similar technical specifications, but there are some notable differences between the two models.

In terms of strengths, the KTM 1190 Adventure 2014 is known for its combination of sportiness and comfort, with a smooth gearbox and a powerful yet controllable engine. It also has an excellent seating position and manageable chassis. The 1190 Adventure is praised for its sophisticated electronics, including lean angle ABS.

KTM 1090 Adventure 2018

On the other hand, the KTM 1090 Adventure 2018 is known for its very powerful and cultivated engine, with a wide rev range. It also has performance modes, allowing riders to customize their riding experience. The 1090 Adventure has the advantage of being able to switch off the ABS and has adjustable traction control. It is praised for its agile and safe handling, as well as its adjustable ergonomics and height-adjustable windshield. Additionally, the 1090 Adventure is relatively lightweight and has a comparatively low price.

In terms of weaknesses, the KTM 1190 Adventure 2014 has been criticized for its engine jerking below 3000 revs. It is also noted that the 1190 Adventure does not look as independent as its predecessor. Smooth gliding is not considered one of its strong points.

The KTM 1090 Adventure 2018 has been criticized for its outdated optics compared to the newer 1290 Super Adventures. Additionally, the suspension fork of the 1090 Adventure is not adjustable, which may limit customization options for riders.
