KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017 vs. KTM 1190 Adventure 2014

The KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017 and the KTM 1190 Adventure 2014 are both enduro motorcycles with similar technical specifications. However, there are some notable differences between the two models.

KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017

In terms of advanced rider assistance systems, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017 has more features compared to the KTM 1190 Adventure 2014. In terms of strengths, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017 is fully off-road capable and has a good off-road mode. It also has easy handling, a very powerful and refined engine, and state-of-the-art electronic features such as traction control, quickshifter, and cornering ABS. The large, easy-to-read TFT display and LED headlights with cornering lights are also notable features.

KTM 1190 Adventure 2014

The KTM 1190 Adventure 2014, on the other hand, combines sport with comfort and has a buttery smooth gearbox. It also has a powerful and well controllable engine, excellent seating position, manageable chassis, and sophisticated electronics, including lean angle ABS.

In terms of weaknesses, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017 has a high price and a power-consuming height adjustment of the windshield. The KTM 1190 Adventure 2014 has a slight engine jerk below 3000 revs and does not look as independent as its predecessor. Smooth gliding is also not its strong point.

Overall, both the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2017 and the KTM 1190 Adventure 2014 are capable enduro motorcycles with their own strengths and weaknesses.
