Man kan alltid argumentera för utseendet och avsaknaden av en trellisram, men den nuvarande Monster är allt annat än ful. I grund och botten skulle det vara en bra vardaglig nakencykel med trevlig ergonomi och ett bromssystem som inte överraskar ens de oerfarna. Det ganska mjuka chassit kan också betraktas som en acceptabel kompromiss, men för en Ducati är det ganska förvånande att åtminstone framgaffeln inte var avstämd lite stramare. Tyvärr biter den karismatiska motorn kraftigt vid låga varvtal och visar därför bara sin underbara V2-karaktär på landsvägen.
