Sittpositionen är sportig, men inte på något sätt obekväm, bromsarna är kraftfulla och motorn i S 1000 R är som bäst - kanske till och med lite för homogen. Det finns inte heller något att klaga på när det gäller körningen. Baserat på de rena prestandadata och de installerade elektroniska funktionerna har BMW förmodligen vad som krävs för den snabbaste varvtiden. Och det på alla typer av underlag, för med den semi-aktiva fjädringen kan du äta upp kilometer efter kilometer på dåliga vägar fulla av potthål. Tyvärr har denna känsla av överlägsenhet aldrig riktigt spillt över på föraren. Förmodligen nackdelen med för mycket balans på alla områden - åtminstone i mina italofila ögon. BMW:n saknade det där lilla extra, karisman, som är svår att förklara men som väcker genuina känslor.

In return, however, you can create your own individual BMW!
