Medan de många olika motorcykelgenrerna blir alltmer suddiga och överlappande, är Ducati Scrambler Icon verkligen den okomplicerade och robusta scrambler som utlovas i dess namn. Det breda styret ger en otroligt enkel hantering, så det är lätt att förlåta det faktum att det komfortorienterade chassit inte har någon justerbar gaffel, medan stötdämparen åtminstone kan justeras i retur och fjäderförspänning. Man förlåter också det faktum att den främre singeldisken kräver en hel del manuell kraft; det är trots allt mycket berömvärt att en kurv-ABS är monterad som standard.
