Glede na to, kje se je družina KTM Duke nekoč začela, je 690 Duke neverjeten korak naprej. Motor je izredno prefinjen in hkrati hrupen za ulični enovaljnik. Kljub vsej vgrajeni tehnologiji je to še vedno zelo lahek motocikel in ga lahko skorajda označimo za igračo (v dobrem smislu). Mnenja deli le njegov položaj sedenja, saj je z modelom Duke 4 iz leta 2012 nekdanji supermoto postal skoraj ukročen goli motocikel s sedežem, usmerjenim na sprednje kolo. Prednost: vsakodnevno življenje in dolge ture na trenutnem Duku ne bi smele predstavljati težav.

KTM 1090 Adventure je velik korak naprej od predhodnika 1050 Adventure k večjim sestram. Paket elektronike z nastavljivimi načini vožnje, nadzorom oprijema in ABS ostaja na že tako visoki ravni, motor pa ima zdaj 125 KM, kar je približno tretjino (!) več kot pri modelu 1050. Še pomembneje je, da se zdaj lahko prosto vrti do več kot 10.000 vrtljajev na minuto in tako ponuja bolj uporabno območje vrtljajev. V razredu še vedno cenovno ugodnih velikih potovalnih endurov boste težko našli bolj uravnoteženo kolo.
