Odličen motor v lepi obleki ni vse. Serijska oprema BMW R 1250 RS je razočarala; v njej ni ne quickshifterja ne tempomata, kar leta 2021 ni več v skladu s časom. Ergonomsko je bavarca mogoče prilagoditi skoraj vsakemu vozniku. Vzmetenje ESA je odlično in je obvezna dodatna oprema, še posebej, če sta v vozilu dva. V ostrih ovinkih je teža modela RS nesporna, tu pa se zdi skoraj počasen. Širši ko so radiji, bolj samozavestni ste na BMW-ju. Zaščita pred vetrom in vremenskimi vplivi je dobra, čeprav bi bilo zaželeno nekoliko višje vetrobransko steklo.
