Različica SP je nedvomno dražja, a tudi nedvomno boljša Ducati Monster. Vse skupaj se odlično ujema, saj je tipično športno Ducatijevo. Popolnoma nastavljivo vzmetenje Öhlins (vključno z vilico v barvi švedskega zlata!) odlično izpolnjuje svoj namen, zavorni sistem Brembo Stylema se oprijema silovito, vendar ne neprijetno, položaj sedenja z nekoliko večjim nagibom naprej pa je športen, a še vedno udoben. Tudi motor se zelo dobro ujema s konceptom zelo športnega golega motocikla srednjega razreda - želi se vrteti in v zgornjem delu zagotavlja največjo moč. Če iščete pomanjkljivost pri modelu Monster SP, je to najverjetneje trzanje motorja V2 pri nizkih vrtljajih, vendar to pravih ljubiteljev motorja V2 90° sploh ne bo užalilo. Tudi cena ni problematična, saj Italijani za zmogljivost različice SP plačujejo precej visoko ceno.
