Ducati Panigale V2 2020
Starting with the Ducati Panigale V2 2020, it boasts a beautiful and noble design that is sure to turn heads. Its outstanding electronics package includes riding modes, cornering ABS, ride by wire, quickshifter, traction control, and anti-wheelie, ensuring a high level of safety and fun in traffic. The engine, with a displacement of 955ccm, delivers a powerful 155 HP and 104 Nm of torque. The V2 engine is unique and provides an incredible "experienceable" ride. The chassis, made of aluminum, offers stability and agility, while the suspension system, with an upside-down telescopic fork in the front and a single swing arm with a monoshock in the rear, provides excellent handling. The brakes, with double disks in the front and a diameter of 320mm, utilize radial monoblock technology for optimal stopping power. The Panigale V2 also features LED headlights and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters. However, one weakness of the Panigale V2 is that compared to other engines of similar size, it could benefit from a few more horsepower. Additionally, its true potential is only fully realized in Race mode.
On the other hand, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 2023 is more suitable for touring and offers a comfortable riding experience. It comes with a safety package that includes ABS and traction control. The engine, with a displacement of 649ccm, produces 68.2 HP and 65.7 Nm of torque. The rear shock absorber is adjustable for preload, although the process can be laborious. The Ninja 650 has double disk brakes in the front with a diameter of 300mm, utilizing petal technology. It also features LED daytime running lights, LED headlights, and a TFT display. The Ninja 650 has a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters and offers an accessible and ergonomically versatile riding position. However, the chassis and brakes are only average in terms of performance.
Kawasaki Ninja 650 2023
In summary, the Ducati Panigale V2 2020 is a supersport motorcycle with a stunning design, outstanding electronics package, and a powerful engine. It is an ideal choice for supersport beginners and returners. On the other hand, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 2023 is more suitable for touring, offering comfort and a safety package. It has a typical Ninja look and is accessible to a wide range of riders. While the Panigale V2 has a few weaknesses such as the desire for more horsepower and limited potential outside of Race mode, the Ninja 650 has average chassis and brake performance and a laborious rear shock absorber adjustment. Ultimately, the choice between the two will depend on the rider's preferences and intended use.

Ducati Panigale V2 2020
Kawasaki Ninja 650 2023
To judge the Kawasaki Ninja 650 purely on its paper form would be a serious mistake. The two-day test showed once again that performance data carries more weight at the pub table than in the wild. Kawa's sports tourer does exactly what it is supposed to and, thanks to the constant revision and the new features added for 2023, is still an enrichment for the class. Only hobby racers should be warned, as the name Ninja still stirs up a certain expectation that the 650 does not fully meet.
