M 1000 R je vsekakor dobro izdelan in celoten paket se prilega. Čeprav je vsekakor namenjen bolj športnim voznikom, se lahko motocikel dobro izkaže tudi na daljših vožnjah po podeželskih cestah z manjšimi omejitvami glede udobja vožnje. Nižje, ravno krmilo in naprej pomaknjen položaj sedenja v kombinaciji z višjimi stopalnimi oporami samodejno povzročita športno dinamiko, ki ne vzbuja kavčastih občutkov, še posebej na daljših vožnjah. Po drugi strani pa je zagotovljen dober stik s prednjim kolesom in zadostna svoboda pri naklonu. V kombinaciji z zmogljivim pogonom Hyper Naked vsekakor igra v prvi ligi. Razen rahlih vibracij je zmogljiv motor RR sila, s katero je treba računati v segmentu nakedov. Nova elektronika pomaga tudi manj izkušenim voznikom, da s konservativnimi nastavitvami nadzorovano sprostijo zgoščeno moč.

Sedežni položaj je športen, vendar nikakor ne neudoben, zavore so močne, motor modela S 1000 R pa je najboljši - morda celo nekoliko preveč homogen. Tudi na področju vožnje se ni mogoče pritoževati. Na podlagi čistih podatkov o zmogljivosti in vgrajenih elektronskih funkcij ima BMW verjetno vse potrebno za najhitrejši čas kroga. In to na kakršni koli podlagi, saj lahko s polaktivnim vzmetenjem na slabih cestah, posejanih z luknjami, požirate kilometer za kilometrom. Na žalost se ta občutek superiornosti ni nikoli zares prenesel na voznika. Verjetno je to slaba stran prevelike uravnoteženosti na vseh področjih - vsaj v mojih italijanofilskih očeh.
