BMW R 1200 RS 2015 vs. BMW R 1250 RS 2021

The BMW R 1200 RS 2015 and the BMW R 1250 RS 2021 are both sport touring motorcycles with similar technical specifications. However, there are some notable differences between the two models.

In terms of strengths, the R 1200 RS 2015 offers an agile and high-revving boxer engine, a good and adjustable windshield, a comfortable seating position suitable for touring, a stable chassis, ABS and traction control as standard, selectable riding modes, and a stylish front appearance inspired by the superbike S 1000 RR. It also has an extensive list of accessories available.

BMW R 1250 RS 2021

Similarly, the R 1250 RS 2021 offers high stability in long curves, an agile and high-revving boxer engine, a good appearance, a comfortable seating position, an extensive list of accessories, and an excellent ESA chassis.

However, both motorcycles have their weaknesses. The R 1200 RS 2015 has a less legible speedometer and tachometer and many features come at an additional cost. On the other hand, the R 1250 RS 2021 has a higher weight that can be noticeable in tight curves, the windshield could be taller, many mandatory features come at an additional cost, and it can be slightly slow.

Overall, the BMW R 1250 RS 2021 offers some improvements over the R 1200 RS 2015 in terms of engine power, torque, suspension, and overall stability. However, both motorcycles are capable sport touring options with their own strengths and weaknesses.
