Considerando o ponto de partida da família KTM Duke, a 690 Duke é um incrível passo em frente. O motor é extremamente refinado e, ao mesmo tempo, robusto para um monocilíndrico de rua. Apesar de toda a tecnologia a bordo, continua a ser uma moto muito leve e quase pode ser considerada um brinquedo (no bom sentido). Só a sua posição de assento divide as opiniões, porque com a Duke 4 em 2012, as antigas supermotos tornaram-se numa moto nua quase domesticada com uma posição de assento orientada para a roda dianteira. A vantagem: a vida quotidiana e as longas viagens não devem ser um problema na atual Duke.
