Não é possível ter mais luxo. Desta vez, fiquei realmente surpreendido com o conforto de uma mota de turismo. Para ser sincero, não me lembro de alguma vez ter apreciado tanto uma viagem num sofá de pele. Agora também consigo compreender a minha mulher, que está sempre a insistir para que eu volte a alugar uma mota de turismo de luxo, para que possamos dar um passeio a dois. Ela senta-se ainda mais confortavelmente acima de mim, controla ela própria o volume das colunas Boom! e o nível de aquecimento do banco, conforme necessário, e não cai quando adormece. Esta é verdadeiramente a classe rainha do segmento Touring. Aqui, tudo o que um viajante de 5***** precisa está a bordo, desde saídas de ar operáveis separadamente até ao controlo de velocidade de cruzeiro, bagagens com fecho eletrónico e um sistema de som compatível com telemóveis. E embora o novo motor não tenha problemas mesmo com esta massa, deve sentar-se, relaxar e deslizar confortavelmente. Seria uma pena para a bela mota. E para a mulher.

Deve ter sido a primeira Harley que me deixaram conduzir, na altura azul com um sistema de som Screamin' Eagle bem alto. Nessa altura não produzíamos vídeos, apenas um ficheiro de som, gravado por volta das 7h15 da manhã no desfiladeiro do prédio de apartamentos ao virar da esquina. A Street Glide 2017, numa fabulosa tangerina metálica, era menos barulhenta, mas uma das Harleys mais bonitas que já conduzi. Não me fartava das grandes extensões da carenagem frontal e da bagagem baixa. A Street Glide tem um perfil mais equilibrado do que, por exemplo, a Road Glide, que tem uma figura menos harmoniosa. Não tem todo o conforto de uma Ultra, mas tem mais dinâmica de condução, um ângulo de inclinação razoável e uma silhueta icónica da Harley.
