Triumph Street Triple 765 R 2023 vs. Yamaha MT-09 2023

The Triumph Street Triple 765 R 2023 and the Yamaha MT-09 2023 are both naked bikes with similar technical specifications. Both bikes have an inline three-cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. In terms of strengths, the Street Triple stands out for its top-of-the-line engine, excellent performance, high-quality electronics, balanced ergonomics, well-tuned chassis, sporty braking system, extensive standard equipment, and excellent price-performance ratio. On the other hand, the MT-09 excels in its smooth gear shifts, strong mid-range power, comprehensive electronic package, functional gear lever, comfortable seating position, well-designed chassis, lively handling, and immense riding pleasure.

However, the Street Triple has some weaknesses, such as a minimalist display and handlebar fittings that may not be as favorable as the rest of the bike. The MT-09, on the other hand, has weaknesses in terms of polarized optics, a small TFT screen, a somewhat indirect feeling in the front wheel, and cruise control only being available in the SP variant.
