Honda XL750 Transalp 2023 vs. KTM 790 Adventure 2020

The Honda XL750 Transalp 2023 and the KTM 790 Adventure 2020 are both enduro motorcycles that offer a combination of on-road and off-road capabilities.

The suspension on both bikes can be adjusted for preload.

The Honda XL750 Transalp has a slightly narrower rear tire width of 150 mm compared to the KTM's 150 mm. The Honda XL750 Transalp has a longer wheelbase of 1560 mm compared to the KTM's 1509 mm. The seat height of the Honda XL750 Transalp is also slightly higher at 850 mm compared to the KTM's 830 mm. The KTM 790 Adventure has a larger fuel tank capacity of 20 liters compared to the Honda XL750 Transalp's 16.9 liters.

In terms of strengths, the Honda XL750 Transalp is praised for its accessible and fun motor, suitable for both small and large riders, as well as its good finish and value for money. It is also lightweight and easy to handle in all situations, with low fuel consumption. The KTM 790 Adventure is praised for its powerful and characterful motor, extremely high chassis stability, impeccable brakes, and tremendous off-road capabilities, with low average fuel consumption.

However, the Honda XL750 Transalp has some weaknesses, including the lack of cruise control and limited comfort in harsh conditions. The top gear lever is only optional, and there is relatively little ground clearance for the lean angle. The KTM 790 Adventure has a less attractive pricing policy and the original seat shape is not ideal.
