Nasceu no departamento de competição da Aprilia e foi afinada para 2015. Agora é mais fácil de conduzir do que antes. Mas é difícil no limite, especialmente no que respeita à estabilidade. Os pilotos experientes têm problemas nas saídas das curvas e os novatos, provavelmente, só a velocidade máxima em rectas longas. O seu chassis é muito radical para estradas rurais, e no mau asfalto fica inquieto no selim. Um chassis eletrónico poderia ajudar, mas não está instalado na Aprilia. Mas conduzir apenas em pista também não seria correto. A RSV4 pode ser antiga em termos de design, mas continua a ser incrivelmente bonita.
