Avec la Tiger 1200, Triumph a définitivement rejoint le peloton de tête des motos d'aventure de catégorie supérieure, après les modèles de catégorie moyenne. Les modèles Rally convainquent aussi dans la pratique par leur véritable compétence tout-terrain, les modèles GT par leur agilité exemplaire, tous deux par leur puissance et leur souveraineté en toutes circonstances grâce à leur trois cylindres plein de caractère. On ne détrônera pas la BMW R1250 GS du trône de la moto la plus vendue, mais elle n'a plus à se cacher de cette dernière ou d'autres concurrentes. Nos tests comparatifs nous diront si elle a l'étoffe de la meilleure "Big Adventurebike" de 2022, mais d'après les premières impressions, je pense que les chances ne sont pas si mauvaises. D'autant plus que la moto d'aventure est capable de faire le grand écart entre les longs trajets et l'aptitude au tout-terrain, ce qu'une moto d'aventure doit toujours faire, dans un sens ou dans l'autre selon le modèle choisi.
