Ducati a bien réussi le Monster dans son ensemble. Sur le papier, on comprend vite que Ducati a pu économiser quelques frais sur les caractéristiques / options. Mais une fois en selle, le plaisir de conduire domine. Une pure joie de vivre s'installe lorsque la machine agile s'élance avec chaleur à travers les virages. Le V2 charismatique pétarade nonchalamment et parfaitement dimensionné dans les épingles.

Si l'on considère le point de départ de la famille KTM Duke, la 690 Duke représente un progrès incroyable. Le moteur est extrêmement raffiné et en même temps très puissant pour un monocylindre homologué pour la route. Malgré toute la technologie embarquée, elle reste une moto très légère et peut presque être considérée comme un jouet (dans le bon sens du terme).
