Il n'est peut-être pas fait pour les cruisers habitués au confort, mais ceux qui peuvent se passer d'un peu de confort et qui, en contrepartie, apprécient son caractère radical, pourront sans problème vivre de grands voyages avec lui. Elle remplit également les points importants, comme une autonomie suffisante, une protection contre le vent et une charge utile.

Ceux qui pensaient que la nouvelle 8980 SMT jouerait un rôle secondaire inutile entre les modèles 890 Adventure et 890 Duke se sont probablement trompés.
