Mais elle fonctionne aussi de manière satisfaisante en tant que véhicule de voyage. Le châssis est suffisamment confortable, la protection contre le vent est présente. La selle est un peu trop spartiate, mais le moteur est parfaitement adapté aux longs trajets. À deux, la Tenere offre suffisamment d'espace et de puissance, le châssis présente également suffisamment de réserves pour le surplus de charge. Le frein est cependant dépassé par le poids supplémentaire dans certaines situations de conduite.
