La Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE est plus qu'équipée pour le grand voyage : Les nombreuses caractéristiques vont dans le même sens, car tout ce qui est bon dans la SE vise le confort et la sécurité. Qu'il s'agisse de la suspension électronique semi-active Skyhook de Showa, de l'ABS en virage KIBS, de la fonction Kawasaki Cornering Management (KMCF), des feux de virage ou de l'écran couleur TFT bien lisible, l'électronique ne laisse rien à désirer. Couplée à une position de conduite confortable et à un pare-brise haut et réglable, les longues étapes sont un vrai plaisir. Le moteur n'est certainement pas le plus puissant, le poids n'est certainement pas le plus faible, mais dans l'ensemble, la Versys 1000 SE représente une moto de tourisme optimale.

L'Africa Twin est pour moi une moto d'aventure comme une moto d'aventure doit l'être. C'était déjà le cas pour le modèle précédent et cela n'a pas changé avec l'augmentation de la cylindrée et de la puissance. D'une part, parce que la puissance de 102 ch est restée raisonnable et que Honda a même réussi à perdre quelques kilos par rapport à la CRF1000L. Il lui restait donc la polyvalence, elle fonctionne aussi bien sur l'autoroute qu'en off-road. Le châssis absorbe presque toutes les irrégularités, le moteur reste souverain dans toutes les situations, l'ergonomie et le confort d'assise sont exemplaires. Une moto pour tous les jours, mais aussi pour les grands voyages - quelle que soit la destination.
