La RSV4 est amusante. En selle, on a vraiment l'impression d'être en course et à l'entrée des virages, aucune moto de 1000 cm3 ne braque aussi vite que la RSV4. En termes de sportivité, de maniabilité et de caractéristiques moteur, la RSV4 Factory n'a reçu que des éloges de la part de tous les pilotes d'essai. Le concept global radical présente cependant deux inconvénients majeurs : la position d'assise sur les longues étapes et l'arrière légèrement instable.
