Un design affûté avec un avant agressif et un arrière étroit - comme l'ont toujours souhaité les bandits de grand chemin. Il est dommage que le bras oscillant arrière ait été négligé (officiellement pour des raisons de poids, officieusement pour des raisons de coûts), et le système de freinage avant à double piston semble un peu faible. Mais la performance pendant la conduite, aussi bien à grande vitesse que dans les épingles, est tout à fait correcte.

Si l'on considère le point de départ de la famille KTM Duke, la 690 Duke représente un progrès incroyable. Le moteur est extrêmement raffiné et en même temps très puissant pour un monocylindre homologué pour la route.
