La sortie du segment d'entrée de gamme se voit au système de freinage - avec deux disques de frein à l'avant, elle est l'égale de sa grande sœur 800 et ralentit désormais de manière tout aussi souveraine. En ce qui concerne le châssis, elle convainc par son bon confort de suspension et sa configuration ferme dans les virages serrés. La mise à niveau n'est jamais un problème chez BMW, outre l'antipatinage, la suspension électronique ESA est également disponible pour la F 700 GS.
