Honda NT1100 2022 vs. Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin 2018

The Honda NT1100 2022 and the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin 2018 are both excellent motorcycles, but they have some notable differences.

In terms of suspension, both models have an upside-down telescopic fork front suspension from Showa. However, the NT1100 only has preload adjustment, while the Africa Twin has additional compression and rebound adjustments. Both models have a swing arm rear suspension with a monoshock from Showa, and both offer preload adjustment.

In terms of strengths, the NT1100 offers extensive standard equipment, perfect wind and weather protection, a great engine, and is suitable for long distances. It also has comfortable seating and integration with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The suspension setup is coherent and well-tuned.

On the other hand, the Africa Twin has a reliable engine, a comfortable seating position, a well-tuned chassis, and good looks. It also has good brakes and offers optional DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) and performance modes.

In terms of weaknesses, the NT1100 lacks an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), has dull color variants, and does not offer an option for an e-chassis. The Africa Twin does not have optimal wind protection, lacks cruise control, and the ABS on the front wheel cannot be switched off.

Overall, both the Honda NT1100 2022 and the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin 2018 are excellent motorcycles with their own strengths and weaknesses. The NT1100 is more focused on touring and long-distance riding, while the Africa Twin is more of an enduro motorcycle.
