Overview - Honda NC750X DCT 2021 vs Honda NT1100 DCT 2022

The Honda NC750X DCT 2021 and the Honda NT1100 DCT 2022 are both motorcycles with automatic transmissions, making them suitable for riders who prefer a more relaxed and convenient riding experience. However, there are several notable differences between the two models.

In terms of engine specifications, the Honda NT1100 DCT 2022 has a more powerful engine compared to the Honda NC750X DCT 2021. The NT1100 DCT features a larger displacement of 1084cc, producing 102 horsepower and 104 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the NC750X DCT has a smaller 745cc engine, delivering 59 horsepower and 69 Nm of torque. This makes the NT1100 DCT more suitable for long-distance touring and highway cruising, while the NC750X DCT is better suited for urban commuting and light off-road adventures.

The suspension systems on both motorcycles differ as well. The Honda NT1100 DCT 2022 features an upside-down telescopic fork with a diameter of 45mm, providing better stability and improved handling during cornering. In contrast, the NC750X DCT 2021 has a telescopic fork with a diameter of 41mm. The NT1100 DCT also offers a longer suspension travel of 150mm, compared to the 120mm travel of the NC750X DCT. This makes the NT1100 DCT more capable of handling rough terrain and uneven surfaces.

In terms of braking performance, the Honda NT1100 DCT 2022 has double disc brakes on the front, with a diameter of 310mm. This provides better stopping power and improved safety compared to the single front disc brake of the NC750X DCT, which has a diameter of 320mm. The NT1100 DCT also comes equipped with additional advanced rider assistance systems such as traction control, anti-wheelie, and ride-by-wire throttle, enhancing the overall riding experience and safety.

When it comes to fuel efficiency, the Honda NC750X DCT 2021 has a clear advantage. It has a combined fuel consumption of 3.5 l/100km, allowing for a range of 402km with its 14.1-liter fuel tank. On the other hand, the NT1100 DCT 2022 has a combined fuel consumption of 5 l/100km, providing a range of 408km with its larger 20.4-liter fuel tank. This makes the NC750X DCT more fuel-efficient and suitable for riders who prioritize long-distance riding without frequent refueling.

In terms of design and features, the Honda NT1100 DCT 2022 offers more extensive standard equipment and comfort features. It provides excellent wind and weather protection, making it ideal for long-distance touring. Additionally, it comes with Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration, allowing riders to easily connect their smartphones and access various apps and functions while on the go. The NT1100 DCT also has a more advanced suspension setup, providing a more comfortable and smooth ride.

However, there are some weaknesses to consider. The Honda NC750X DCT 2021 lacks an adjustable windshield, which may limit the rider's ability to customize wind protection. Additionally, it only has a single front disc brake, which may not provide the same level of stopping power as the double disc brakes on the NT1100 DCT.

On the other hand, the Honda NT1100 DCT 2022 has a few weaknesses as well. It does not come equipped with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which is a sensor that provides advanced stability and traction control. The color variants available for the NT1100 DCT may also be considered dull by some riders. Lastly, there is no option for an e-chassis, which may be a drawback for riders looking for electric or hybrid options.

In conclusion, the Honda NC750X DCT 2021 and the Honda NT1100 DCT 2022 are both capable motorcycles with automatic transmissions. The NC750X DCT is more suitable for urban commuting and offers excellent fuel efficiency, while the NT1100 DCT is better suited for long-distance touring and comes with more advanced features and comfort options. Riders should consider their specific needs and preferences to determine which model is the best fit for them.

Honda NC750X DCT 2021

Honda NC750X DCT 2021

It is all too easy to label the NC750X as an emotionless, boring everyday machine. But while it is indeed an excellent, economical and, thanks to the extra storage space, extremely practical bike for the daily ride to work, it can also make your heart beat faster. The low centre of gravity gives it top handling and in sport mode you can take advantage of it. Contrary to expectations, the NC750X is a joy to ride, even when cornering. Even the sound at sporty speeds is impressive and sounds like a much bigger motorbike. The DCT suits the NC750X perfectly and is an asset in all riding situations. If you can get by with 59 hp and are looking for a motorbike for all occasions, the NC is the perfect choice.

Honda NT1100 DCT 2022

Honda NT1100 DCT 2022

The NT1100 has the potential to be a big hit in the travel segment. Honda has done its homework brilliantly in many areas. The final consistency on the subject of safety features prevents an even better rating of the tourer. Nevertheless, it is one of the best touring motorbikes I have ever ridden. A little courage for additional equipment variants and more colour could bring the NT 2023 right to the front.
