The KTM 1050 Adventure 2016 and the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 2016 are both enduro motorcycles that offer powerful engines and chain transmissions. However, there are several differences between the two models.

KTM 1050 Adventure 2016
In terms of strengths, the KTM 1050 Adventure offers a powerful and refined engine, disengageable ABS, adjustable traction control, agile handling, adjustable ergonomics, and a prestigious look similar to its larger sister models. It also has a height-adjustable windshield, low weight, and a comparatively affordable price. On the other hand, the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 offers a powerful engine, traction control as standard, very good brakes, a taut yet comfortable chassis, great touring capability, and complete instrumentation.
Suzuki V-Strom 1000 2016
However, both motorcycles have their weaknesses. The KTM 1050 Adventure's rev limiter kicks in at 8500 revs, limiting its top-end performance. Its chassis is also considered a little too soft for off-road use. On the other hand, the Suzuki V-Strom 1000's windshield creates turbulence on the rider's head, and its engine runs out of breath in the upper rev range. Additionally, some riders may find the Suzuki V-Strom 1000's aesthetics to be arbitrary.
In conclusion, both the KTM 1050 Adventure 2016 and the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 2016 are powerful and capable enduro motorcycles. The KTM 1050 Adventure offers a refined engine and adjustable features, while the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 provides good touring capabilities and standard traction control. However, each motorcycle has its own weaknesses, such as the KTM 1050 Adventure's limited top-end performance and the Suzuki V-Strom 1000's windshield turbulence. Ultimately, the choice between the two will depend on the rider's preferences and priorities.

KTM 1050 Adventure 2016
In my opinion, the KTM 1050 Adventure picks up where the 990 Adventure left off a few years ago: Around 100 hp of power, playful handling and as much or as little electronics as is currently state-of-the-art. The engine is anything but weak, ABS and traction control regulate safely and inconspicuously and the handling is extremely fun-oriented, partly because of the relatively narrow tyres. And all this at a price that is only undercut by a few competitors in the league of big touring enduros. Sad as it may be, the two 1190 Adventures and, above all, the flagship 1290 Super Adventure, have soared in price to very high levels. And that is precisely why the KTM 1050 Adventure is perhaps the most coherent of the four Adventure models.
Suzuki V-Strom 1000 2016
In the large enduro segment, the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 is the best value for money, yet you don't have to do without anything - traction control and ABS come as standard. Excellent brakes, great comfort and a wonderfully powerful V-twin engine are ingredients that should appeal to almost everyone. The fact that it doesn't play in the top league with 100 hp is made up for by the wonderful power delivery, which ensures a relaxed climate on long journeys. Only the wind protection is not optimal with the original windshield; one should invest in the affordable, somewhat larger windshield.
