The engine, on the other hand, shows weaknesses in power delivery, especially at low revs, which is not what you would expect from a single-cylinder engine. The aggressive riding position is a double-edged sword: it enables a sporty riding experience, but can be uncomfortable for longer rides.

The RC 8C is a riding machine that not only leads professionals to fast lap times, but also puts a grin on the face of the average rider. Light-footed and precise like an elf on rails, it shows its strength particularly on fast-moving and technically demanding courses. Even though the engine has easy play thanks to the low overall weight and performs well at low revs, as a Horsepower-spoilt superbike rider I would like to see it wind out a bit more aggressively. Nevertheless, for most people it will probably be the key to a lot of riding pleasure and fast lap times without any conversion work.
