BMW R 1300 GS Adventure 2024

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure 2024

The new R 1300 GS Adventure was eagerly awaited - how will the Bavarians differentiate it from the normal 13 Series GS in terms of design? Well, the powerful, angular appearance is already a success, the new big Adventure looks rustic, but doesn't look too stolid and you can see at first glance with the many practical details that BMW is all about making globetrotters happy. On the drive side, the GS Adventure benefits from the even more powerful boxer engine, which accelerates the heavy Adventure forwards effortlessly and agilely. The handling is unexpectedly light and the ergonomics are excellent. Of course, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is expensive, nobody expected a bargain. However, it is already equipped with an extensive range of electronic features in the basic version, and with the ASA automated quickshifter, adaptive ride height control, adaptive cruise control and much, much more, it is of course even more expensive. But beware: anyone who tries it will probably want it on their R 1300 GS Adventure!

Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special 2024

Even though it is clearly not a rally bike, the Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 knows how to impress with its powerful engine and good balance. It has plenty of traction on gravel and rolls very stably over larger scooters. Due to the 19 inch front wheel and the height of the bike, however, the the Harley soon reaches its limits in technical passages. On the flat, you should also be careful that the sensitive cast aluminium rims are not knocked into corners by potholes. All in all, however, the Harley is surprisingly off-road capable and robust for its dimensions.

Powerful, responsive engine

lush, modern electronics

semi-active suspension

good ergonomics despite the wide fuel tank

cornering ABS as standard, cornering TC as standard

optional seat lowering when stationary

19-inch front wheel suffers in off-road use

workmanship and feel partly below average

quickshifter at extra cost and not perfect
