Pros and Cons in comparison

BMW S 1000 R 2016

BMW S 1000 R 2016

With the BMW S 1000 R, you notice both the close relationship to the S 1000 RR superbike and the endeavour to equip the machine with a high degree of comfort for country roads and everyday use. Accordingly, the 1000cc four-cylinder power unit is brute and yet easily controllable, and the seating position is correspondingly sporty and comfortable. The fact that the S 1000 R is one of the most affordable power naked bikes is surprising and very pleasing, although one must not get hold of the list of optional extras - because thanks to the many irresistible features, it will certainly be more expensive.

Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 2022

Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 2022

Like its predecessor, the Aprilia Tuono V4 is a naked bike and not an explicit touring machine. However, the technicians from Noale have very cleverly raised the handlebars compared to the Factory version, fitted a more comfortable saddle and attached a larger windshield. This means that the Tuono V4 still looks really smart, but can actually go on bigger tours than its extremely sporty sister. The suspension of the normal Tuono V4 has to do without electronic adjustability (which would make perfect sense on a touring machine), but the Sachs suspension elements are fully adjustable. Handling, on the other hand, is wonderfully sporty thanks to the stable chassis, and the brakes can be applied firmly without appearing too aggressive. There is no lack of electronic helpers, while the standard cruise control emphasises the touring character, wheelie and launch control make it clear that the "Tourono V4" also wants to let it rip!
