KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2017 vs. KTM 1290 Super Duke GT 2021

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2017 and the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT 2021 are both powerful motorcycles with similar technical specifications. However, there are some notable differences between the two models.

In terms of strengths, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2017 is known for providing an adrenaline rush, offering extensive configuration options when purchasing, having grandiose brakes, great original equipment tires, practical electronic features, and a great seating position for tall riders. The electronic features can be set very sporty and can also be deactivated.

On the other hand, the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT 2021 is praised for its very potent engine with massive power, extremely precise chassis, agile handling, well-controlled brakes, good wind protection, easily adjustable windshield, top ergonomics even for tall riders, long range, and ample equipment as standard.

In terms of weaknesses, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2017 is criticized for its shift assistant being a bit rough compared to other power nakeds, being exhausting to ride, and the precise stroke not always being easy to hit. It is also considered the most dangerous motorcycle for the driving license on the market.

The KTM 1290 Super Duke GT 2021 has some weaknesses including a hard chassis and saddle, the engine only accelerating smoothly from around 3500 revs, and being very loud with the Track Pack.
