Pros and Cons in comparison

Pros and Cons in comparison

Yamaha MT-07 2019

Yamaha MT-07 2019

Even the first MT-07 series was an insanely good basis for sporty riding on naked bikes. With the 2018 model, Yamaha has finally managed to bring the full potential of the CP2 engine to the road. Keyword: chassis. Thanks to simple interventions, the suspension components now have the sporty character we have long desired. The refreshed look also makes them appear much more grown-up. Only the gauges and gearshift units seem a little outdated - but here you can see why the MT-07 is offered at such a competitive price!

High-torque two-cylinder

well-done chassis update

easy to ride

pleasant seating position

large selection of accessories

price-performance fits

Dashboards look a little old

Honda CB 1000 R 2019

Honda CB 1000 R 2019

The 1-litre version of the Neo Sport Cafe Racer shows that it doesn't always have to be the golden mean. In all honesty, it has to be said that the largest of all the representatives also feels the most "grown-up". The electronic equipment of the 1000 in the + version leaves almost nothing to be desired and the handling is extremely rider-friendly for this class. Playfully easy cornering with a well-tuned chassis, snappy brakes and low weight seem to be the recipe for success in terms of smoothness. In terms of performance, the CB1000R+ unfortunately has to make concessions. With 145 hp, the Honda is not a brute rocket, but it is all the more controllable for it. And 145 hp with a full tank of 213 kg is more than enough for maximum riding pleasure on country roads!

Flawless responsiveness of the power unit

Honda-typical extremely rideable 1000

Good electronics package (ABS, traction control, riding modes..)

Smooth and precise gearbox
