Ducati Multistrada V2 2025 - New 890 cc V2 Engine at its Core
The Multistrada V2 was developed around the new V2 engine, a 90° V-twin with a displacement of 890 cc, delivering 115 hp at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. This places the new Multistrada V2 2 hp above the previous model. The new engine foregoes the desmodromic system typical of Ducati, instead featuring variable valve timing. This is intended to provide a lot of grunt in the mid-range while maintaining good top-end performance. According to Ducati, 70% of the maximum torque is already available at 3,500 rpm. Additionally, the first two gears have been given shorter ratios to provide the Multistrada V2 with more liveliness and clean throttle response at low speeds. Thanks to the compact engine design, the new V2 weighs only 54.9 kg, significantly contributing to the overall weight reduction of the Multistrada. The model's weight has been reduced by a total of 18 kg, resulting in a wet weight of 199 kg without fuel. The V2 S has a wet weight of 202 kg.
New Frame and Optimized Ergonomics for the Ducati Multistrada V2 2025
The chassis of the Multistrada V2 has been completely redesigned and includes an aluminum monocoque frame, a rear subframe made of steel trellis, and a cast aluminum swingarm. The sleek design aims to facilitate ground contact and enhance riding comfort. For different body sizes, the seat offers height adjustment between 830 and 850 mm seat height. Additionally, accessory seats are available for heights ranging from 810 mm to 870 mm. The Multistrada V2 is equipped with a 45 mm Marzocchi fork and Sachs shock absorber, both fully adjustable. The S version features a semi-active suspension system, the well-known Ducati Skyhook System (DSS), with a minimum preload function that can lower the seat to as low as 790 mm.
Without the fairing, the chassis and the new, load-bearing engine are clearly visible.
Versatile Features of the Ducati Multistrada V2 S 2025
The Multistrada V2 continues to feature a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, paired with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires designed for asphalt and light off-road use. With the new design, which now aligns more with the larger Multistrada V4 sister and the new Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2, the equipment has also been updated. Aerodynamics have been improved, the windshield can now be adjusted in height with one hand, the new LED lighting elements offer daytime running lights, and the cockpit boasts the new 5-inch TFT display. The braking system includes dual 320-mm discs at the front and a 265-mm disc at the rear.
