More Agility and Comfort? - The Speed Twin Goes the Extra Mile
However, Triumph has not rested on its previous success and has incorporated numerous improvements for the new season. The new Speed Twin 900 offers an even more dynamic riding experience, particularly excelling with its optimized agility. Contributing to this are a new Marzocchi upside-down fork at the front, a narrower rear frame, and an aluminum swingarm. Together with the higher-quality shock absorbers and fork protectors, this results in a sportier design and improved handling. The more compact taillight and the slimmer fender complete the look of the new version.
Ergonomically, there have also been significant changes. The seat has been designed to provide the rider with even more support during cornering. Additionally, Triumph has made the step arch narrower, which is particularly beneficial for shorter riders or when standing at a traffic light. Despite the sporty updates, the motorcycle remains easily accessible, and the laid-back character for which the Speed Twin 900 is known is preserved.
Pulling power without end
The machine continues to be powered by Triumph's renowned 900cc Bonneville twin-cylinder engine in the "High Torque" version. With 80 Nm of torque available at a low 3,800 rpm, the engine offers strong pull, especially noticeable at lower revs. This ensures a confident riding experience—whether in city traffic or on country roads. The characteristic "British Twin" sound contributes to the emotional riding experience and is a distinctive trademark of the Triumph models.
A Look Under the Hood
New Features, New Opportunities
In terms of technology, the new Speed Twin 900 has a lot to offer. With two riding modes, "Road" and "Rain," the throttle response can be adjusted according to weather and road conditions. For added safety, standard ABS and lean-sensitive traction control ensure optimal grip in corners. The new, modern instrument panel combines LCD and TFT displays, clearly showing RPM, riding modes, speed, and gear indicator. Additionally, a USB-C port is available, allowing for easy device charging.
However, the biggest highlight here is the cruise control. Triumph has finally found a way to integrate the classic panel with cruise control technology—a gadget that will excite many fans.
When it comes to customization, Triumph offers over 120 original accessories that allow the Speed Twin 900 to be tailored to each rider's personal style. From heated grips to waxed cotton bags and special styling elements that further accentuate the classic lines, there are numerous ways to personalize the bike even more.
USB-C port
For beginner riders with an A2 license, a restriction kit is offered, making the bike smoother and even more accessible. Once the full license is obtained, the Speed Twin 900 can easily be restored to its full power.
The new Triumph Speed Twin 900 will be available from February 2025, with prices starting at 9,995 euros in Germany and 10,995 euros in Austria.
