The helmets of the 1000PS supersports test
The HJC helmets in superhero design, which our editors wore for the Supersport motorcycle test, are not only a real eye-catcher but also technically advanced. The RPHA 1 and RPHA 12 models offer a perfect combination of safety, comfort, and stylish design. The RPHA 1 is particularly designed for aerodynamics and stability at high speeds, providing excellent protection through its premium materials. The RPHA 12, on the other hand, impresses with its versatile range of use and excellent ventilation, ensuring pleasant freshness even on longer rides. Both helmets are adorned with striking superhero graphics, making them a special highlight for all comic fans and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Martin Bauer on the Honda CBR600RR
The Honda CBR 600 RR is a supersports bike featuring a 599cc four-cylinder engine that achieves high revs and a peak power of over 120 hp, making it particularly sporty, but it loses torque and power at low revs. The sporty yet not overly radical riding position and the fully adjustable, rather soft chassis offer stability and agility, though they are less ideal for the race track. The precise gearbox with quickshifter and blipper functions, as well as the powerful brakes with an effective ABS system, are convincing. A significant drawback is the heat development of the exhaust, which is particularly noticeable during slow rides, and compared to the competition, the engine lacks punch at low revs due to the smaller displacement. Overall, the CBR 600 RR is an excellent sports bike that provides a lot of riding pleasure on the road but requires some compromises.
Horvath on the Honda CBR600RR
The Honda CBR600RR impresses with a balanced, sporty seating position that is suitable for both street and track use. The engine exhibits classic 600cc characteristics, with little power in the lower range but strong pull from 8500-9000 RPM. The current model features a well-functioning quickshifter for up and downshifting as well as a comprehensive electronics package. One downside is the significant heat development from the under-seat exhaust, which is noticeable for the rider. The chassis and brakes are sportily tuned and well-suited for twisty roads, making the CBR600RR a balanced and sporty machine.
Alessio on the Honda CBR600RR
The Honda CBR600RR impresses with a very tautly tuned chassis, which offers a lot of riding pleasure on twisty country roads and conveys a precise riding feel, as if riding on rails. The underseat exhaust is aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly, the excellent brakes, which are easily controllable both front and rear, provide maximum feedback. The modern display and the well-functioning quickshifter, which requires a certain input, also contribute to the positive experience. Overall, the CBR600RR convinces with its taut chassis setup, excellent brakes, and effective quickshifter, making it an extremely fun and precise bike for sporty rides.
Amelie on the Honda CBR600RR
The Honda CBR600RR is an excellent bike, especially compared to the Fireblade, which was too much for me. The 600 offers sufficient power and riding pleasure, is sporty but not overly aggressive. The seating position is comfortable and does not cause discomfort in the wrists or back, making it a true "fun bomb." The brakes are reliable and well-modulated, though not extremely aggressive. Mirrors and display are clearly visible, and the controls are high-quality, logical, and easy to use. The handling is also worth mentioning positively, as the bike is not too heavy or bulky, making it easy to maneuver through twisties. Overall, I was very satisfied with the Honda CBR600RR.
Single Tire: The Bridgestone S23
As part of the supersports motorcycle test, a standardized tire was used: the Bridgestone S23. This tire is known for its balanced performance and versatility on different road surfaces. The Bridgestone S23 offers reliable traction and stability, both at high speeds and in corners. Its rubber compound and tread design are engineered to ensure even wear and good longevity. This allowed the editors to ride the motorcycles safely and in control under various conditions, making the Bridgestone S23 a suitable choice for the test.

Riding Pleasure and Handling:
The riding performance and riding pleasure of the CBR600RR are consistently praised. Highlighted are the agility, precise riding feel, and easy maneuverability.
Brakes:
The brakes are rated very positively, with easy modulation and good feedback. They are reliable and offer high performance.
Seating Position:
The seating position is described as sporty and comfortable, without being too radical. It does not cause any discomfort and is suitable for longer rides.
Operation and Display:
The modern display and the high-quality, logical controls are highlighted. The elements are clearly visible and easy to operate.
Quickshifter:
The quickshifter is described as precise and reliable. It works well and contributes to a positive riding experience.
Negative Experiences with the Honda CBR600RR
But there were also points that we didn't like as much. We found these aspects negative about the Honda CBR600RR:
Heat Development of the Exhaust:
A significant drawback is the heat generated by the underseat exhaust, which is particularly noticeable during slow rides or in urban traffic. This can lead to discomfort as the heat radiates onto the thighs.
Low RPM Performance:
It is noted that the engine loses torque and power at low RPMs. Compared to competitors like Kawasaki, the CBR600RR lacks punch at low RPMs, making it less suitable for everyday use.
Chassis Setup for the Race Track:
The soft chassis, which provides comfort on the road, can be a disadvantage on the race track. During hard braking and heavy loads, the chassis might reach its limits and may require adjustments for sporty use on the race track.

Honda CBR600RR 2024 - Experiences and Expert Review
Der Horvath
The Honda CBR600RR impresses as a sporty bike with exhilarating riding pleasure and precise handling. The well-tuned chassis, powerful brakes, and reliable quickshifter ensure an excellent riding experience, especially on twisty roads. The comfortable seating position and the modern display further contribute to the positive overall impression. However, there are some drawbacks: the heat development from the underseat exhaust can become uncomfortable in urban traffic and during slow rides, and the engine's performance at low revs leaves something to be desired. Additionally, the soft suspension can reach its limits on the race track. Overall, the CBR600RR is an outstanding bike for sporty riders who are willing to accept these compromises.
