India's third-largest motorcycle manufacturer aims to make a mark in Europe as well. Previously active only as a partner of BMW in the background, their own models are now set to hit our roads. We were already able to test the iQube S electric scooter in Barcelona, and now we had the chance to ride a combustion engine equivalent in its homeland.

Solid Data for the Class of 125cc Scooters

The TVS NTORQ is equipped with a 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine with 3 valves. It delivers a power output of 9.5 HP at 7,000 rpm and a torque of 10.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm, providing solid propulsion. With a measured weight of 123.5 kg (including the top case), the NTORQ is among the lighter scooters in its class. This lightness contributes to good handling and maneuverability, which is particularly advantageous in dense urban traffic. The scooter is fitted with 100/80-12 tires at the front and 110/80-12 tires at the rear. The braking system consists of a 220 mm brake at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear. Brake assistance is provided through a combined braking system.

With its top speed of 95 km/h according to the speedometer, the TVS NTORQ also offers enough power for the urban commuting routine, while the "High Speed Alert" displayed from 80 km/h brings a smile inside the helmet. Because the TVS scooter gives no cause for concern at this speed.

TVS NTORQ 125 with Unusual Features

Among the rather unusual features of the TVS NTORQ are the lap timer and the 0-60 km/h timer, which allow the rider a detailed analysis of their riding data. It should be noted that the lap timer is not activated by a switch but starts when moving off and stops only when coming to a halt—more of a fun gimmick than a serious time measurement.

The NTORQ, true to its scooter nature, features a 20-liter storage space and a USB charger under the seat, making it particularly practical for daily use, especially when combined with the top case. The Eco light also informs the rider about efficient riding operations.

Design that would make Maverick jealous

If TVS has its way, Tom Cruise might be riding the TVS NTORQ in the next "Mission: Impossible" film. The official website of the Indian manufacturer promises a wild design: "Stealth Aircraft Inspired Styling" and "Afterburner Style Rear Vents" are the buzzwords being thrown around. Indeed, the NTORQ showcases a sporty design for this class that is quite appealing. In contrast, the LC display is rather dull - even though the manufacturer refers to it as a "Gaming Console Inspired Speedometer".

20 liters fit under the seat. For those looking for even more storage space, a top case is an option.

The TVS NTORQ 125 impresses in daily use

Among the positive attributes of the TVS NTORQ are its adequate thrust and stability even at high speeds. The high frame stability and strong brakes ensure a safe riding experience on country roads or urban highways. Additionally, the scooter offers ample storage space, which is very practical for everyday use. However, the TVS NTORQ also has its drawbacks. The high noise level can be very disturbing, as it is relatively loud for an A1 scooter. This might underline the sporty note of the "Race Edition," but in the urban jungle, it stands out negatively. The build quality also leaves something to be desired in some areas - but the NTORQ 125 is attractively priced for that.

TVS NTORQ 125 Price

Since TVS has not yet officially launched in Europe, there are no fixed prices available. Currently, there are only indicative prices or manufacturer recommendations, which may ultimately vary by country and importer. For now, TVS prices the NTORQ 125 at 2,800 euros.
