When it comes to braking, the Z900 SE is equipped with double disk brakes with four pistons at the front, providing strong and reliable stopping power. On the other hand, the Gladius has double piston front brakes, which may not offer the same level of braking performance as the Z900 SE.

Moving on to the strengths of each bike, the Z900 SE stands out with its powerful and sonorous four-cylinder engine, high-quality chassis components including an Öhlins rear shock absorber, strong Brembo M4-32 brakes, good ergonomics, and easy handling. On the other hand, the Gladius is praised for its solid handling, good ergonomics, and powerful V2 engine.

However, the Z900 SE does have some weaknesses. It lacks a quickshifter, even as an optional feature, and does not have lean angle dependent traction control or cornering ABS due to the absence of an IMU. Additionally, the Z900 SE has a high weight, which may affect its maneuverability.

The Gladius also has a couple of weaknesses, including a cheap-looking swingarm and a telescopic fork, which may not offer the same level of performance and comfort as other suspension systems.

In conclusion, the Kawasaki Z900 SE 2023 offers a more powerful and technologically advanced riding experience compared to the Suzuki SFV 650 Gladius 2013. While the Gladius has its strengths in terms of handling and engine power, the Z900 SE's superior specifications and features make it a more appealing choice for riders looking for a high-performance naked bike.

Pros and Cons in comparison

Pros and Cons in comparison

Kawasaki Z900 SE 2023

Kawasaki Z900 SE 2023

The Z900 SE is not only a successful addition to the normal Z900, but actually the better and more sensible version. Because the refined fork, the Öhlins suspension strut that is not fully adjustable but more responsive, and the snappier Brembo M4.32 brake system make the SE refreshingly sportier and are well worth the extra price - especially if you also take into account the cool look of the Prestige components! However, the fact that a quickshifter is not even available at extra cost will hurt real sports enthusiasts. If you can live with the relatively high weight of over 214 kilos, you get a sufficiently manageable naked bike.

The Suzuki's top performer is clearly its engine; the V2 is wonderfully agile and powerful. This often makes up for the somewhat feminine appearance, which this racy engine does not really deserve.
