It offers excellent wind and weather protection, ensuring a comfortable ride even in adverse conditions. The engine delivers confident power with its 102 HP and 104 Nm of torque, making it suitable for long distances. Additionally, the integration of Apple Carplay and Android Auto allows for seamless connectivity. The suspension setup of the NT1100 DCT matches the character of the bike, providing a comfortable and smooth ride. However, it does have some weaknesses. Firstly, it lacks an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which limits its advanced rider assistance systems. The suspension adjustment options are also limited, reducing the versatility of the motorcycle. Adjusting the windshield requires significant effort, which can be inconvenient. Lastly, the engine and DCT response may take some getting used to and can feel rough initially.

On the other hand, the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin DCT 2022 is an enduro motorcycle designed for off-road adventures. Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin DCT 2022

Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin DCT 2022

For me, the Africa Twin is a touring enduro as a touring enduro should be. This was already true of the predecessor model and did not change with the increase in displacement and power. Because the latter remained manageable at 102 hp, and Honda even managed to shed a few kilos compared to the CRF1000L. So it remained versatile, functioning just as well on the motorway as off-road. The chassis absorbs almost all bumps, the engine remains sovereign in every situation, ergonomics and seating comfort are exemplary. A motorbike for all days as well as for the big trip - wherever that may be.

High-torque engine

sophisticated electronic driving aids

wonderfully functioning DCT

touch-screen colour display
