Wunderlich has optimised the already great R 1200 RS with pinpoint accuracy and turned it into a real dream machine. The straight handlebars fit the sports tourer really well. If you want to have a broad model range, you also have to fill some niches. BMW, at any rate, is venturing into the manageable excavator segment with the K 1600 B - usually large tourers with flat lines. The K 1600 GT/GTL fits perfectly as a basis, because its equally powerful and cultivated six-cylinder in-line engine is just as much fun on long journeys as it is for spirited country road heating. Weighing over 330 kilos, it is surprisingly sporty to drive, but the heavy vehicle is not quite so fond of quick corrections.
